Development partners raised over 630 million USD at a High-Level Pledging Event for the Humanitarian Situation in Ethiopia which was held on today 16 April 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The event was organised by the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
On the conference H. E. Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia underlined that the primary focus of the Ethiopian Government is the protection of livelihoods, the integration of disaster risk reduction into development plans and strengthening resilience of vulnerable people.
